Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ledtke are proud to announce that their daughter, Valle Mae, received a Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Florida International University at the Commencement Ceremony held on May 2, 2015. Valle also received the Academic Excellence Award for 2015. She was awarded this honor for having the highest grade-point average (3.98) in her graduating class. Her name will be inscribed on a plaque that will be permanently displayed in the Department of Athletic Training at Florida International University. While attending FIU she volunteered with SEEK, a nonprofit organization that provides food and clothing to the homeless, was employed at FIU as a research graduate assistant, and completed her clinical requirements working with the FIU football team, Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, the Miami Marlins, and Key Biscayne Physical Therapy. Valle also passed her board certification exam on her first attempt and is eligible for licensure in the state of Florida where she plans to pursue her career in Athletic Training.

Valle grew up in Skamokawa and graduated in 2008 from Wahkiakum high school as the class valedictorian and from Western Washington University in 2013 with bachelor degrees in both Kinesiology and Psychology. Photo supplied by Becky Ledtke.
