What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office. Hope everyone's summer has started off well. We are still looking for this year’s fair royalty. The royalty will be going to the Cowlitz County Fair to the Gloriana concert. Last year’s royalty saw "Love N Theft" and fun was had by all. Any one interested in running for royalty should contact the fair office at (360)795-3480. This year’s fair raffle has a main prize of "2 night stay for two in a standard room at the Chinook Winds Resort Hotel, 1 show for two to a performance at the Showroom by the Sea and 1 Siletz Bay Buffet gift certificate for two." The grand prize was donated by the Chinook Winds Casino Resort, and Enterprise of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Raffle tickets will be on sale soon so watch for fair royalty and don't miss out on this awesome trip.

In less than a week the Arena will be host to the "Silver Buckle Series." A big thank you to the following sponsors: Sam Longtain Construction, Cathlamet Dental, Bank of Pacific, Marker 29LLC, Matt's Custom Meats, Stewart and Ginger Moonen and all the volunteers that will help put this series on. Hope to see everyone out. Silver Buckle Series Dates: June 27, July 25 and August 22.

We will hold the Flea Market one week later (July 11) due to the first Saturday being the 4th of July. Hope to see everyone there. All monies earned from the Flea Market tables will be used to paint the outside of the youth building.

The entertainment line up is in for the fair. Friday night will Feature the bands Fat Bottom Girls and LoveN, TouchN, SqueezeN, both bands are back from last year. Saturday night the country band Sacred Road will be back from last year. I didn't get to hear them last year but I understand they were awesome. Along with the earlier bands on Friday Alleyoop and the Reptile Road show will be here for kids day. Thursday will have Layton Elliott and Ray Prestegard.
