The American Red Cross Blood Services urges all eligible donors to schedule an appointment to donate blood at the River of Life Assembly of God Church, 45 Main St., Cathlamet on Tuesday, August 4 from 1-6 p.m., by calling Patti Phillips at (360) 795-8821 or schedule online at http://www.redcrossblood.org Code: Wahkiakum.

Any healthy person age 18 (or 16-17 with signed parental consent) or older and weighing at least 110 pounds may be eligible to donate blood. Valid identification is required for all blood donations.

With only a few short weeks before the start of the school season, the Red Cross urges all current and eligible new donors to help combat the region’s shortage by donating blood.
