The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Delores Mary Quigley Cochran was born November 1st, 1925. She met her husband James Cochran in Cathlamet Washington in 1939, and the two were married in 1941. Throughout their 73 years together they were blessed with four natural children, James W., Jr.., Wayne, Mildred and Ed. They became parents to Theresa and Steven later. Delores became mom to all her children's spouses.

This beautiful mother and grandmother joined her husband in heaven on August 23, 2015. In addition to her children she is survived by 12 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She developed close and loving relationships with her family members and was a special and loving confidant for some. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved and respected this special family Matriarch, the last of the 11 Quigley children.

The lives she touched with her special brand of life and laughter are too numerous to list. As her granddaughter Stephanie said, everyday was a special occasion to this beautiful lady who will be missed by so many.

A graveside celebration of life and love will be held at Greenwood Cemetery August 31st at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Viewing before the service will be at Dowling Funeral Home in Cathlamet from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. In her Memory, family members request donations be made to the Pioneer Community Association PO Box 24, Cathlamet, Wa. 98612.
