Wahkiakum Mule football Coach Eric Hansen gives instructions to a player as the Mules worked on defense Tuesday afternoon. The Mules will field a team short in numbers when they open the season Friday at Toutle Lake, 7 p.m. Hansen hopes to have a roster of 20 players this season. Adna will have over 40 players on the roster, Hansen said. Other Central League teams are seeing declining numbers; Toutle Lake will field around 25 players; other teams will be in the 20s or 30s.
