Youth invited to hunt waterfowl September 19

Youth are invited to hunt waterfowl for free September 19 at the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.
The event will be hosted by the Washington Waterfowl Association, Ducks Unlimited, and Friends of Willapa National Wildlife Refuge.
The special youth hunting season--ducks only--is open to hunters under 16 years of age, and they must be accompanied by an adult who is not hunting on September 19 and 20, 2015. Hunters must have a valid state hunting license, any required stamps, and hunter education course certificate.
The event starts at 7 a.m. and will be held at the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge Porter Point Unit. Organizers say people should follow signs to South Bay Units/Riekkola Unit, located off of Sandridge Road at the east end of 67th Place in Long Beach.
Organizers say there will be fun, prizes, food and hunter education.
