The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Carol Ann Brown, 85, of Skamokawa died September 22, 2015. She was born September 22, 1930 to Oreon and Wendolyn Rowe in Farmington, N. Mex. She grew up in N. Mex., Colo., Utah and Nev. Her father was a contract miner and they moved often for the work.

She married Earl H. Brown on August 2, 1948. She and her family moved to Wahkiakum County originally in 1950 and permanently in 1959. She was a member of the Congregational Church for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband.

She is survived by sons Kerry (Susan) Brown and Barry (Robin) Brown; a daughter Ronda (Mike) Rose; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Services were held on October 4 with Dowling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
