Master Gardener training offered January-June

Washington State University Extension in Cowlitz County will offer Master Gardener Volunteer training starting in January in Longview. Participants receive over 90 hours of training covering in-depth community gardening topics from edible and ornamental plants to composting and environmental issues, from plant health care to problem identification and management. Training sessions held in Longview, start on January 8 and continue on the second and fourth Fridays of every month (9 a.m.-4 p.m) through the end of June.

The application deadline is Monday, December 28. Orientation sessions will be held during December to learn more about the program. For questions or to receive an application, contact Gary Fredricks at 360-577-3014, extension 3 or garyf@wsu.edu.
