Cast announced for play

The Astor Street Opry Company has announced the 2016 cast for their March Teen Full Stage Musical Production the “Tale of Beauty and the Beast” book by Vera Morris and music, lyrics by Bill Francoeur and produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services, Inc.
Directed by Bill Carr with music direction by Dena Tuveng and production management by Mary Ritter, the show cast will include Brodie Smithart, Lexi Reibold, Malachi Keefe, Emily Bergerson, Glori Benthin, Laurel Pritchard, Ashley Peasley, Matthew Duncan, Mae Loya, Lily Reed, Josey Posey, Elizabeth Pior, Nicole Ramsdell, Timothy Pior, Nickolas Reibold, Riley Mitchel, Blake Leitch and Joseph O'Grady.
This 4th Annual Teen production was a direct development from their other youth theatre program for ages 8 to 14 that began in 2008. This year the younger kids will produce Junior Shanghaied in June. The “Tale of Beauty and the Beast Show performs February 26-March 12 at the ASOC Playhouse, 129 West Bond Street Astoria.
