Norman and Phyllis Sotka of Rosburg,WA had their 65th wedding anniversary February 18, 2016. Friends and family are invited to celebrate with them on Saturday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m., at the Valley Bible Church, 4723 State Route 4, Rosburg, WA 98643. Refreshments will be served.

Norman and Phyllis met at the Elochoman Grange Hall at a dance following Norman's basketball game, where he played for the Grays River Grange team. The Sotka's dated for over a year and were married February 18, 1951 in the Nazarene Church in Beaverton, Oregon. The bride was attended by Alice Boldt and Ava West and the groomsmen included Joe Florek and Bob Hawking. Mrs. Sotka is the former Phyllis Rae Boldt, of Pillar Rock, WA. Following the wedding the couple honeymooned in California.

Norman Sotka was raised in Eden Valley near Rosburg, WA where the couple made their home and operated Sotka's Eden Valley Ranch. The couple have three children, Diane Sotka (Craig) Mattson of Naselle, Darrel Sotka of Eden Valley, and Marilyn Sotka Nikolas of Battle Ground; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
