Bud Strange was also appointed as the Board’s Legislative Representative for the next two years.

In other matters, Superintendent Nelson recognized the baseball team for its third place finish at the state tournament and members of the track and field team for the hardware they earned at state in Cheney. Track coaches Denny and Smith, and baseball coaches Lindstrom and Dorman, were presented with plaques. Special comment was made regarding the efforts of former Transportation Director Ed Engelson, who filled in during an employee absence and bus driver, Larry Brignone, who also helped with activity scheduling and bus trips.
