Rayanna Carlon goes up to the ball as the Lady Mules take on the Onalaska Loggers.

The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team won two more matches this week.

On Tuesday, they hosted Onalaska in a league match and won in four, 25-17, 25-10, 18-25 and 25-16.

"Tonight was a bit of a roller coaster of consistency for us," Coach Kayli Hurley said. "We'd roll on the uphill playing some good volleyball then back slide for a while before taking off again."

Peyton Souvenir had six kills. Rayanna Carlon, Ellie Leitz, Macie Elliott, and Sydney Hansen had four kills apiece. Hansen, Amber Silva and Savannah Burdick were 100 percent from the service line. Hurley praised Hansen for "good touches above the net." She also praised Silva and Mckensi Fluckiger for their defense on the back line and Leitz and Elliott for their defensive work at the net.

Last Thursday, the Lady Mules traveled to Morton to play Morton/White Pass. They won in three sets, 25-18, 25-19, and 27-25.

"MWP can really play some scrappy defense," Hurley said. "My hitters sometimes had trouble finding the floor, but we pulled it out with a lot of work."

Leitz had nine kills and two stuff blocks. Makenzie Anderson had six kills and was 100 percent from the service line. Hansen added four kills. On defense, Savannah Burdick had 14 digs. She was also 100 percent from the service line. Katie Johnson was 100 percent from the service line and "served some big points," according to Hurley.

Wahkiakum is 2-0 in league and 4-1 overall.

Tonight (Thursday) the Lady Mules face Toutle Lake at home.
