October 27, 2016



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

October 18 — 8:34 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident with severe head and neck pain. 9:19 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Skamokawa resident with chest pain. 12:26 p.m. A Grays River resident reported that someone had driven over his political signs. 5:23 p.m. An individual with a warrant was taken into custody in the Elochoman Valley. 10:51 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who had lost consciousness.

October 19 — 12:06 a.m. A deputy and the Cathlamet ambulance aided a Skamokawa resident with complications due to diabetes. 12:36 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Puget Island address. 4:12 a.m. A caller reported a school bus traveling at high speeds on SR 4 and heading west from Cowlitz County. 12:20 p.m. A caller reported that cows were loose and walking on a Skamokawa road. 4:13 p.m. An individual was arrested in Cathlamet after violating a restraining order. 7:40 p.m. A caller reported a neighbor was burning more than brush in a controlled burn in Cathlamet. The individual was given a warning.

October 20 — 7:31 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident with abdominal pain. 9:16 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual who had fallen off a ladder in the Beaver Creek area. 11:49 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at an Elochoman Valley residence. 1:48 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle that had been parked in front of a Rosedale business for two days. 3:38 p.m. A caller reported a puppy mill at a Puget Island home. 5:06 p.m. A caller reported that a car had broken down on SR 4 in the Cathlamet area. 10:30 p.m. A caller reported an assault at a Cathlamet residence. An individual was taken into custody.

October 21 — 7:13 a.m. A caller reported that a neighbor was burning plastic after hours in the Beaver Creek area. 8:21 a.m. A Puget Island resident complained that he was being harassed. 8:23 a.m. A caller reported that drugs were found in a Cathlamet home. An individual was taken into custody. 11:06 a.m. A caller reported that two dogs were running down SR 4 in the Rosedale area. The dogs were seen jumping into a vehicle. The owner was found. 11:23 a.m. An individual complained that he was being harassed by family members. 12:51 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that there were two cows in her yard. 1:22 p.m. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance, and the District 4 Fire Department responded to a rollover accident on an Elochoman Valley road. 4:39 p.m. A caller reported an abandoned ATV in the Elochoman Valley. 8:52 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual complaining of abdominal pain in Cathlamet. The individual signed a refusal for transport to the hospital.

October 22 — 2:25 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported a domestic disturbance. An individual was taken into custody. 9:29 a.m. A caller reported a large rock in the middle of SR 4 near Nassa Point. 11:02 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Rosedale home. 12:28 p.m. A Cathlamet resident asked to talk to a deputy about a vehicle that had been abandoned at her home. 12:30 p.m. A caller reported that someone was cutting trees along a Deep River road. 3:09 p.m. A caller reported children riding ATVs in a field in Cathlamet. 3:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance, the District 4 Fire Department and deputies responded when a person was injured by a falling tree in the Elochoman Valley. 5:23 p.m. A caller reported an individual driving well over the speed limit on a Skamokawa road. The caller said that excessive speed was a regular problem in the area and asked for more patrols. 9:10 p.m. A caller reported that he was being threatened by visitors in his home in the Cathlamet area. His wife called back to notify dispatch that her husband had been drinking and had overreacted.

October 23 — 10:30 a.m. A caller reported children riding ATVs in a field in the Cathlamet area. A deputy made contact with a person responsible for the property who did not want the field to be used for off road riding. The deputy notified the riders and they left. 2:17 p.m. A caller asked to talk to a deputy about an incident the previous night at a Cathlamet restaurant when an individual had become aggressive. A domestic violence advocate was notified. 3:01 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that he had been attacked by two dogs the day before. 3:03 p.m. A caller reported that there were boxes on SR 4 near County Line Park. 5:26 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual who had fallen in Cathlamet. 8:09 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported a prowler and asked for a welfare check on her family while she was away from home.

October 24 — 1:47 a.m. The Grays River ambulance aided a Deep River resident that was short of breath.
