Baylee Olsen, a 2015 Wahkiakum High School graduate, set a new record for the Saint Martin's University women's basketball program and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference when she hit seven three pointers in a single game for the Saints against Holy Names University on November 25.

Olsen not only hit the seven three pointers, she made every three pointer she shot, going 7-7.

The previous record of six three pointers in a single game was held by four other players in the GNAC.

Olsen led the team with 22 points to beat Holy Names 69-60.

"I'm so happy for Baylee, she has worked so hard, and tonight was a spectacular performance," Tim Healy, the head coach for the Saints said.

Olsen is a sophomore at Saint Martin's. She is the daughter of Shelley and Bill Olsen of Cathlamet.

Olsen is also in the running for the GNAC most consecutive threes without a miss, her mother added this week.

"Baylee currently has 10 and is tied for the next record," Shelley Olsen said. "When she plays Thursday (today) at Concordia and if she shoots a three and makes it she will break that record, too."
