Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past two weeks, including:

January 30 — 1:40 p.m. A caller reported that someone had placed an “ISIS Hunting permit” sticker on her vehicle while it was parked at a Rosedale business. 11:14 p.m. A caller reported that a woman was screaming while standing in the middle of a Puget Island road. A deputy was unable to locate the individual.

January 31 — 3:03 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Skamokawa resident who may have suffered a stroke. Life Flight responded. 10:10 a.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported that she had received threats. She was frightened that the individual was going to come to her home. 12:34 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported identity theft. 12:42 p.m. Property owners in the Grays River area got into an argument over a disputed property line when one hired someone to come in and cut down a tree. They were advised that it was a civil issue. 4:26 p.m. A caller complained that she was being harassed via email. She said she had a restraining order against the individual but it hadn’t been served yet. She was advised that she needed to serve the order before anything else could be done. 4:54 p.m. An assault was reported at the county jail. 7:00 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on an individual in the Skamokawa area after she was released from the hospital. 7:42 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported seeing a car that fit the description of a vehicle that authorities were looking for in Pierce County. 8:17 p.m. A caller reported an attempted break-in at a Cathlamet residence. 10:03 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual in Cathlamet who was unable to move a leg due to back pain.

February 1 — 10:43 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance transported a clinic patient in Cathlamet with high blood pressure to the hospital. 12:03 p.m. A representative from the Town of Cathlamet reported that they would be closing Columbia Street between Maple and Elm. 3:58 p.m. An alarm was activated at an east county home. 6:31 p.m. A caller reported that a dog had been struck by a vehicle on an Elochoman Valley road. The dog was alive and in the ditch, the caller said.

February 2 — 5:39 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who was confused and had chest pain. 7:27 a.m. A caller reported that a neighbor’s horses were loose and bothering her goat. The neighbor was contacted and headed home to round up the horses. 9:05 a.m. A caller reported that he had struck an eagle with his vehicle just west of Skamokawa. He said he had pulled over and would wait for law enforcement. 9:32 a.m. A caller reported that someone had siphoned gas from his vehicle on Puget Island. 4:54 p.m. A caller reported that a tree was blocking SR 4 near Nassa Point. 5:12 p.m. A caller reported that someone was sleeping outside the library in Cathlamet. The mental health department was contacted and a representative was enroute. The individual was moved to a yurt at the marina. 5:13 p.m. An individual reported that a family member had requested a visit from a deputy via Facebook. 5:46 p.m. A caller reported that a vehicle was partially blocking a lane of traffic on SR 4 near Nassa Point. 6:27 p.m. A caller reported a speeding vehicle in the no passing lanes on SR 4 near Nassa Point. 8:58 p.m. A caller reported that he had almost struck four pigs that were in a Puget Island road. The caller reported that the pigs had moved off the road and into a nearby garden. The owner was notified. 9:46 p.m. The owner of a Cathlamet business reported that she had received a call from a frightened employee after a man was seen peeping into the windows while she was cleaning. The employee said the man asked where to find drugs and then asked about cigarettes. The man was later seen purchasing cigarettes at the store before heading back to the yurt at the marina where he was staying.

February 3 — 7:16 a.m. A caller reported a power outage at an east county home. 9:44 a.m. A welfare check was requested for an individual in the Skamokawa area who had not picked up his mail for several days. Investigation revealed he was out of town at a wedding. 9:51 a.m. The mental health department asked the sheriff’s office to be on the lookout for an individual wearing black pants, a black hat, and a brown coat. 10:03 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident with high blood pressure. 2:36 p.m. A caller reported a hit and run on a Cathlamet street. 3:47 p.m. A caller reported that medication had been taken from his home while he was in police custody. 9:43 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident with chest pain.

February 4 — 1:42 a.m. A caller reported that an individual had been injured when an ATV rolled over on a logging road near Mill Creek. Cowlitz County responded when it was determined that it had happened in their county. 3:59 a.m. An inmate damaged a phone in the county jail. 9:30 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle had gone off the road and into a ditch on Puget Island. The caller said that the vehicle appeared to be empty. 2:12 p.m. The District 4 Fire Department responded when an alarm was activated at a Rosedale address. It was a false alarm.

February 5 — 12:23 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Puget Island resident with pain in his left side. 9:51 a.m. A caller reported that a tree was partially blocking a Skamokawa road. The county road department was notified. 10:04 a.m. A caller reported an accident involving a car and a motorhome on the west side of KM. The Grays River Fire Department and the Grays River ambulance responded. 10:36 a.m. A caller reported that a power line was down in Cathlamet. The Cathlamet Fire Department and the PUD responded. 10:48 a.m. A caller reported that a tree was down and blocking one lane of a Puget Island road. 10:55 a.m. A caller reported an accident just west of Skamokawa on SR 4. 11:59 a.m. A caller reported a truck in a ditch on the east side of KM. 12:36 p.m. A caller reported rocks in the roadway on SR 4 near Nassa Point. 1:34 p.m. A Rosburg resident reported that a family member had been breaking into his home. It was determined to be a civil matter. 3:08 p.m. A vehicle slid off of Beaver Creek Road. The driver decided to wait until the weather improved to move it. 4:09 p.m. A power outage was reported at a home on Greenwood Road. The PUD was notified. 4:51 p.m. A caller reported that her husband was in violation of their parenting plan. He had not returned their children. 5 p.m. A caller reported that a group of people were riding their ATVs in a careless manner on a Cathlamet street. 5:08 p.m. A caller reported a tree on SR 4 on the east side of the county. 5:16 p.m. A car slid off of SR 4 and into a tree on the east side of the county. Injuries were unknown. 5:17 p.m. A caller reported that tree limbs were on SR 4 near Cathlamet. 5:27 p.m. Power outages were reported at an Alger Creek home and at a home on Risk Road. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded. 5:31 p.m. A one vehicle accident was reported on SR 4 near Nassa Point. No injuries were reported. 5:53 p.m. A caller reported that a vehicle had slid off of SR 4 in the Skamokawa area. 5:58 p.m. A caller reported that a tree was down near Mill Creek. Cowlitz County responded. 6:17 p.m. A caller reported a tree in the eastbound lane of SR 4 in Skamokawa. 6:20 p.m. A caller reported a tree down on Messinger Hill Road. 6:42 p.m. A caller reported a tree down on a Puget Island road. 7:10 p.m. A caller reported that a vehicle was totaled when it slid off of SR 4 in the Alger Creek area. No injuries were reported. 8:07 p.m. A power outage was reported at a Rosburg home. The PUD was notified. 8:27 p.m. A power outage was reported at a Skamokawa area home. 8:37 p.m. A caller reported that a tree was blocking Beaver Creek Road. 9:05 p.m. A caller reported that a tree was down on SR 4 just west of Nassa Point and that a vehicle had gotten stuck on the tree. 9:06 p.m. A caller reported that the power was out at a Grays River home. The PUD was notified. 9:25 p.m. A caller reported that trees were blocking the westbound lane of SR 4 near Stella. 10:25 p.m. A caller reported a tree in the westbound lane of SR 4 near Nassa Point. 10:27 p.m. A Cathlamet resident requested assistance after locking herself out of her home. 10:30 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded when a caller reported seeing power lines spark after a limb fell on them in the Cathlamet area. The PUD was notified. 10:34 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded when a tree went down in the Elochoman Valley area and took down power lines, knocking out power. Power outages were reported in the Cathlamet area, on Risk Road and in West Valley. A caller reported that another tree was down in the Elochoman Valley. 10:41 p.m. A caller reported a one vehicle accident on SR 4 in the Skamokawa area. No injuries were reported. 10:48 p.m. The Cathlamet Fire Department responded when a tree fell into power lines just west of Skamokawa. The PUD was notified. 10:59 p.m. An alarm was activated at a Cathlamet office. 11:00 p.m. A resident on East Valley Road reported hearing what sounded like a vehicle in a ditch. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

February 6 — 12:18 a.m. A caller reported branches in the roadway of SR 4 on the east side of the county. 1:56 a.m. A caller reported a tree was down and blocking both lanes of traffic on SR 4 near Rosburg. 2:38 a.m. A caller reported that a tree had fallen on a power line in the Skamokawa area. The Skamokawa Fire Department responded and the PUD was notified. 7:07 a.m. The county road department requested that law enforcement shut down Ingalls Road because it had not been plowed and vehicles were attempting to use it. 9:28 a.m. An inmate exposed himself to a woman at the county jail.
