Jimmy (Jim) C. Sanders, 72, of Cathlamet, died February 5 at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland.

He was born December 19, 1944 in North Carolina to Luther and Katherine (Ledbetter) Sanders. His family moved to SW Washington and he moved to Cathlamet in 2005. Jim met Dixie Willette in 1993 and they married on October 29, 1994.

Jim was retired from the Air Force, where he served 22 years.

Survivors include his wife Dixie; brother Wayne; sister Jenny (Ronald) Johnson; sons Steve (Felicia), Allen (Vicki), Rick, Chris (Kathleen); stepsons Dan (Sherri)Willette and Mike (Vicki) Willette; stepdaughters Terri Willette, Cindi Edwards and Jennifer Weidner; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Clyde and Bill.

Jim loved hunting, fishing, football and western movies and especially the Oakland Raiders and John Wayne.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
