Wahkiakum High School senior Rayanna Carlon was the first young woman to ever represent the Mule wrestling team at the double elimination state tournament, which took place last weekend in Tacoma.

She lost the first match in her weight class against Marlin Gonzalez of Federal Way after getting pinned in 2:40.

She took 2:12 to pin Letiticia Garcia of Nooksack in the second round.

In her final round, she lost to Reyna Huecias of Mabton, 11-0.
