Community Center to host seed exchange

The Cathlamet Community Center, located at 101 Main St., will host a free seed exchange on Wednesday, March 15, from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the WSU Master Gardeners, the Cathlamet Community Center, Skamokawa Grange, and the Wahkiakum Community Garden.
Participants are invited to come to the Community Center with their seeds between 11 a.m., and 1 p.m., to exchange with other gardeners in the community. Seeds may be from seed packets or home collections, and can include flowers, vegetables and herbs of any variety. Seeds brought to share should be from 2015 or sooner. WSU Master Gardeners will be on site and available to answer gardening questions, and a short session on seed starting will be offered at noon.
All are welcome and there is no cost to participate. For more information call the WSU Wahkiakum County Extension office at 360-795-3278.
