The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Last week, WSU Master Gardeners, WSU Extension, the Wahkiakum Community Garden, and the Skamokawa Grange hosted a seed exchange at the Community Center in Cathlamet. More than 20 people came and perused tables of seed packets (vegetables, herbs and flowers). Joyce Orr provided a display of seed viability in her trays of labeled sprouts. Carrie Backman gave a short presentation on seeds, planting and transplanting. Participants shared tips and advice on successful gardening in our area. A few folks left with door prizes.
