Charles R. "Bob" Sorenson, 77, of Puget Island, died July 14, 2017 at SWWA Medical Center in Vancouver.

He was a resident of Puget Island for 29 years. He was born in Yakima on August 24,1939 and after high school he joined the Coast Guard. He had lived and worked in Alaska on construction projects in many capacities over his work life. Bob enjoyed fishing on the beach with friends and was an avid collector of Hot Wheels for enjoyment, even attending conventions over the years. As a younger man he was a pilot and owned his own plane and enjoyed hunting.

Bob is survived by his wife Patricia Donaven at home, a son Troy Sorenson and seven daughters, Rhonda Evans, Cynthia Bergquist, Melissa Washer, Susie Powers, Sandy Anderson, Casey Drapeaux and Cherish Petrenchak.

There will be no service at Bob's request. Dowling Funeral Home of Cathlamet is in charge of arrangements.
