Timberlands closed because of fire danger

Recent hot and dry weather have led local timber companies to close their lands. Here is a Wednesday morning announcement of the closures:

Grays Harbor, Pacific, and Wahkiakum County large private forest lands are closed due to extreme heat and fire danger.

A collaboration of several private landowners has led to closing the forest to public access. Campbell Global, Greenwood Resources, Hancock Forest Management and Olympic Resource Management have closed their lands this week. Other landowners may close or have already closed their lands. The forests are extremely dry. There is no rain in the forecast.
