State patrol seeks public help to ID accident victim

August 10, 2017

Washington State Patrol (WSP) cold case investigators hope a new sketch will help them identify the remains of an unidentified female exhumed from her unmarked Longview Memorial Park and Cemetery grave on January 8, 2014.

Forensic Artist Natalie Murry created the sketch to help detectives identify the mystery woman.

Using the skull and bone structures, artist Murry sketched out the facial reconstruction based on the physical features and attributes provided by witnesses who last saw her before the fiery collision that claimed her life on southbound I-5 north of Kalama on May 14, 1991.

Police sketches are a routine part of law enforcement investigations but rarely used to help identify a person involved in a motor vehicle collision. Investigators hope someone may recognize the sketch above and create leads or even identify the woman. People having any information related to this collision and/or events leading up to the collision are asked to call Detective Sergeant Stacy Moate at 425-401-7745.
