September 7, 2017

The group Sentimental Journey will perform Sunday at Rosburg Hall, 6:30 p.m.

A special invitation goes out to all veterans and current military personnel. There is no charge to attend. The performance is co-sponsored by American Legion 0111 (Deep River) and VFW Post 5297 (Cathlamet).

Following the hour-long performance, refreshments will be provided by the American Legion Auxiliary.

Wearing authentic World War II uniforms, Veteran Ray Puddicombe, a 92 year-old local hero, tells riveting personal wartime stories of being drafted and serving in the US Army Infantry in Germany during the Rhineland Campaign of 1944, while songstress Dina Blade and pianist Hans Brehmer rekindle a glimpse from this bygone era with popular hits of the day.

Also featured in this hour-long program is a display of Ray's unique WWII memorabilia
