The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association last week included Naselle Comette Holly Disch in its Athlete of the Week awards for Week 4 (September 17-September 23).

Disch played well that week for the Comette volleyball team, racking up 62 kills, 23 aces, 19 digs, and 16 blocks in 12 sets of play.

Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes varsity athletes who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week (based off of nominations). All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA Athlete of the Week Award. Students may win the WIAA Athlete of the Week Award once during any given academic year.

Nominations are open to athletic administrators, coaches, fans and members of the media, with a weekly deadline of Tuesday at noon.
