For over 10 years, North Coast Chorale has sponsored the community Messiah Sing-Along/Play-Along to benefit local food banks.One can listen to the choruses and arias sung by the Chorale and the soloists. Or, join in and sing, scores will be available in the lobby of the venue. Instrumentalists are also invited. Bring an instrument and “Play Along” with the accompanist.

Although the event is free, donations of unperishable food or money are requested. Last year alone, over 96 pounds of food and $1,250 were raised. Everything received will go directly to the Clatsop Community Action’s Regional Foodbank, which distributes to local food banks. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, November 26 at 4:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 588 – 16th Street in Astoria.
