T. Wade Parker, 88, of Cathlamet, died December 2, 2017 at Longview Hospice Care Center.
Wade was born on March 19, 1929 in Sylva, NC.to Aaron and Pansy (Owens) Parker. He attended school in Cullowhee, NC and in 1947 he married Mildred Adams in Clayton GA.
In 1957 they moved to Cathlamet and Wade worked for Crown Zellerbach as a log truck driver and equipment operator until 1985. For five years he was employed by Bornsted Logging, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed mechanic work, hunting, fishing, camping, and time with his granddaughter Erin.
Wade is survived by his son Tom Parker of Cathlamet, a sister Lynda Cothren of Puget Island, a brother, Rick Parker of Longview, granddaughter Erin Parker of Cathlamet and many nieces and nephews. Wade was preceded in death by his wife Mildred in 2002, a brother Wayne and sister Joretta Brown. A Nicheside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Cathlamet on Saturday Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
