Wilma Hall

Wilma Irene Hall, 85, of Longview, died December 5 at Longview Hospice Care Center.

Wilma was born in Astoria, Ore., on July 21, 1932 to Stanley and Sylvia (Hegstad) Petersen. She went to school on Puget Island and then attended Columbia Academy in Battle Ground, where she graduated in 1950.

In 1951 Wilma married Ray Bauer and they moved to Kennewick where she worked at Columbia Basin College. She was the secretary to the Dean of Students and later Manager of the bookstore. After retirement she moved to Puget Island where she farmed and worked part time at the Wahkiakum Treasurer's Office. She and Ray later divorced.

In 1993, she married Darrel Hall and moved to Longview. He preceded her in death earlier this year.

She was a lifelong member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church. She and Darrel loved traveling the world doing missionary work.

Wilma is survived by two daughters Betti (Dan) Kaste, Linda (Dean) Seaberg and step-children Helen Smith, Bradley (Janna) Hall, Florence (Stephen) Lacey, two sisters Ardis Heinrich and Diane Tover, two granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at held at Journey SDA Church in Kelso at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SDA Project Patch.

Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
