Mule boys stampede over Pe Ell 50-31

Logan LaBerge finds a hole in the defense to score in the Wahkiakum Mules' 50-31 win against Pe Ell on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the Wahkiakum Mules boys basketball team began the new year with a win against Pe Ell at home, 50-31.

"We struggled on the offensive end in the first quarter but got in a little rhythm in the second and third," Coach Todd Souvenir said. "We're getting closer and closer to putting together four quarters on both ends."

Zach Brown led the team with 19 points and seven rebounds. Luke Brown added 15 more. Brody Carlson had eight points, Logan LaBerge had six points and four assists, and KC Beery added two points.

The Mules are 2-4 in league play, 2-5 overall. The Mules travel to Morton on Thursday to face Morton/White Pass.
