Ronald D. Ozment was born to Dillon and Pearl (Kindberg) Ozment on December 14, 1938 in Cathlamet, and died January 7, 2018 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ron was devoted to his family, his farm and his community. Ron had a joke or story for every occasion and all who knew him loved him for his sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dillon and Pearl, and his beloved sister-in-law, Dianne Ozment.

Ron is survived by his wife, Anne Ozment, in Idaho Falls, and brother, Russ Ozment in Cathlamet. He is also survived by three step children, Jay Nesmith of Vernonia, Ore., Joel Williams (Sarah) of Spokane, and Beth Thayne (Tim) of Rexburg, Idaho; 13 step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren and two nephews, Les Ozment of Kalama and David (husband Gary Truelove) of Olympia.

At Ron's request, his body is being donated to Idaho State University, following which his ashes will be returned to his farm.

A memorial service will be planned later in Cathlamet.
