WHS Track and Field

 


The Wahkiakum Mules track and field team competed against 11 other schools in the 2B League Championships in Kalama last Friday.

The top four in track events and the top six in field events move on to the district meet this Friday in Chehalis, according to Coach Rob Garrett.

The following Mules secured spots in the district meet:

Macie Elliott ran a 1:03.11 to place first in the 400 meters.

Ellie Leitz placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:41.57. She also took fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 31-08.25.

Trinity Klecker scratched in the 300 meter hurdles, but she took fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.44.

Jansi Merz got a new personal record in the discus with a distance of 93-10.5. She placed third.

Charlie Ashe tied for third in the high jump, clearing 4-06.

Mckensi Fluckiger placed third in the long jump with a distance of 15-05.


The 4x 200 relay team of Ashe, Teylor Sauer, Fluckiger, and Elliott finished in second place with a time of 1:55.78

The 4x400 relay team of Sauer, Ashe, Leitz, and Elliott took fourth place with a time of 4:37.40.
