Time to begin preparing for Bald Eagle Fest

Bald Eagle Fest will be held on July 21st this year and we are ready to start planning. Come and help us design the day beginning with the street fair at 9:00 am, the parade through town, the kids play area, music, a celebration of logging and who knows what else.

The first meeting of the Bald Eagle Fest planning committee will be Wednesday, May 30th at 5:00 pm in the Scarborough Meeting Room next to the Chamber office which is located at 102 Main Street in Cathlamet.

Come with your thinking caps on, everyone is invited to submit ideas for the festival. What would you like to see? What would you like to do? What did you like in the past years? What could have been improved? Any and all ideas are welcome. This is our biggest town event of the year, so let’s work together to make it exciting for everyone.

For the artists, crafters and business owners in our community, start thinking about selling your wares at a booth. Vendor applications are ready to go, stop by the Chamber Office and pick one up or visit our website http://www.wahkiakumchamber.com

We will meet this month and then again June 13th and June 27th at 5:00 pm. July meetings are usually held each week until the event.

Many hands make light work, come early or come late if you like, and join us Wednesday, May 30th at 5:00 pm and help make this the best Bald Eagle Fest ever.
