A contractor crew is installing new foundation for paving on the Puget Island bridge during night-time closures 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. County officials said Tuesday they have an agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to pay for ferry service during the closures so travelers aren't stranded, as happened Monday.
