Mike Karvia, the assistant chief of training and operations for Pacific County Fire District 1 and an instructor for the Washington State Fire Academy Regional Direct Delivery Program, taught local volunteer firefighters how to force open a locked door before giving them a chance to practice on the forceable entry prop provided by the Washington State Fire Training Academy.
