Hilda Martha Herrman Sperle, 95, passed away on November 3, 2010, in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 21, 1915, in Ingomar, Montana, the daughter of Soloman H. and Lydia Stoebner Herrman. Each year the fair board has a big list of things to do before winter sets in. Some of our equipment is pressure washed and then stored on higher ground for the winter. With the help of Pete Ringen, Dean Seaberg and Larry Hendrickson, we were able to get some of our equipment moved last week. SO-SO--As we ended one month and began another, the weather was a mixed bag of either sunshine, gorgeous out, like last Friday, or rain, which consumed a good deal of Saturday. Halloween, which was Sunday, began quite nice and didn't cloud up until the latter half of the day. Wahkiakum PUD commissioners continued discussion on their preliminary 2011 budget at their meeting Tuesday. PUD Auditor Erin Wilson and administrative staff prepared a separate draft budget for each area of operation--the electric system, the Puget Island Water System, and the Western Wahkiakum Water System.
