On August 2, agents of the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Narcotics Task Force assisted by members of the Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office and the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office concluded a three month investigation with the execution of a search warrant at a rural Longview address. Two people were arrested and guns, money, methamphetamine, marijuana, diverted prescription medication and stolen property were recovered. The occupant of the residence, 43 year old Sharon Kay Carter, was located in her bedroom where the vast majority of the evidence in this case was found – including a loaded 9mm pistol which was lying next to her bed. In a second bedroom of the residence agents located 25 year old Bradley Steven Evans. Evans was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Longview Municipal Court.

This investigation was one of many related ongoing investigations of an organization of local drug traffickers. Based on evidence seized during this warrant agents expect to make more arrest in the near future.
