Mules volleyball underway Monday

The Wahkiakum Mule volleyball team will get its 2009 season going Monday morning.
New Coach Jeff Rooklidge announced this week that the first practice will be August 24, 9-11 a.m. Players should have their medical eligibility forms completed by then and bring clothes and knee pads for a workout.
The team will start two-a-day workouts on Tuesday, 9-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rooklidge has been assistant coach for the volleyball team for years. He takes over this year after the resignation of previous coach Patty Anderson. Assisting will be former head Coach Joyce Wilson.
The Mules' first match will be September 10 at Warrenton. The first home match will be September 17 against the Pe Ell Trojans.
