Well wishes go out to injured trooper

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend, as did my husband and I. We enjoyed a couple of days with our kids, grandkids and little Ezekiel, our great grandson. He has really grown into quite the little personality in his eight months. Wow, time sure goes fast when you don’t see the little ones very often.

News from Naselle:

Our thoughts and prayers are with State Trooper Scott Johnson of Naselle after being shot this past weekend. I hear he will make a full recovery and the authorities have a suspect in custody. We, as a community appreciate what you do, Scott, and wish you well.

Nine students were selected as students of the quarter at Naselle Middle School. One student per grade is selected in each of the following three areas each quarter: academic excellence, outstanding citizenship and personal achievement. Kendra Leeland, Olivia Zimmerman, and Haley Pine were selected for academic excellence. Taylor Eaton, Emily Gjovik, and Karianne Condon were selected for outstanding citizenship. Emma Fauver, Tony Lopez, and Kelsey Kelly were selected for personal achievement. Congratulations to these students. Keep up the good work.

On February 22, the Naselle Grays River Valley School District Facilities Committee will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
