District basketball, first round results

Wahkiakum Mule teams have won their first round games in the boys and girls 2B SW District Basketball Tournament, and Naselle's Comets and Comettes were defeated in theirs.
The Mule boys defeated Willapa Valley 63-48. The Mules will face South Bend on Saturday, 1 p.m., in Montesano.
The Lady Mules defeated WIllapa Valley 63-58 in overtime on Thursday. The Lady Mules will play Adna at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Rochester.
The Naselle Comets lost their opening round game to Mossyrock by a score of 56-36. The Comets will play the loser of the Northwest Christian-Toutle Lake game on Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., in Rochester.
The Comettes lost their first round game 49-36 to the Pe Ell Trojans. The Comettes will play the loser of the Morton/White Pass-North Beach game on February 15, 6:30 p.m., in Rochester.
