Sheriff's Report - June 21, 2012

 


Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

June 10--6:11 a.m. A caller reported a domestic disturbance at a West SR 4 residence. Deputies responded and arrested one person. 11:24 a.m. A West SR 4 resident reported the theft of gas from a vehicle.

June 11--12:15 p.m. A caller reported being harassed at the fairgrounds. 3:48 p.m. A caller reported that people were camping on private property on SR 4 without permission. A deputy investigated and was unable to locate anyone on the property.

June 12--A caller reported someone was making threats with a gun in the Abernathy Creek area. The call was transferred to Cowlitz dispatch. 10:01 a.m. A caller reported a bicyclist had hit and damaged a fence on Columbia Street. 10:59 p.m. An Elochoman Valley Road resident reported that her soon-to-be ex-husband had threatened to commit suicide. A deputy made contact with the man. 3:31 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported that his 12-year-old son had been assaulted by a juvenile.

June 14--8:54 a.m. A caller reported a motorcyclist had hit a deer on SR 4 at the Deep River Bridge. 10:14 a.m. A Clover Street resident reported that his property was continually being trespassed upon. 12:26 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported that a firearm was missing, possibly stolen.

June 15--2:44 p.m. A caller reported that juveniles were jumping off the city dock on Broadway Street. 10:41 p.m. A Foster Road resident reported a vehicle that had been involved in an earlier DUI complaint was parked off the county road after a woman had picked up the driver. The driver's boyfriend was contacted and informed of the car's location.

June 16--12:28 a.m. A Glengate Drive resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from a blocked number. 10:52 p.m. A West Birnie Slough Road resident reported an ongoing problem with a car speeding. The caller stated that the car had left the road and fishtailed. Deputies were advised.

June 17--1 p.m. A Chester Avenue resident reported the theft of nine fishing rods. 2:14 p.m. A caller reported a man had just dumped garbage in the garbage cans at Erickson Park.
