FOS begins summer season with exhibit

 


SHORT--The boss has asked me to make this column brief, so a run-down on this past week's Smoky Water Follies that took place at the Skamokawa Grange Hall, will occur next week, but suffice it to say, it was a great success and we thank everyone for volunteering their time to make it happen and to all of you for showing up to support it!

SPECIAL DAYS--Those celebrating birthdays this coming week from are Irene Martin, Justin Hoven, Steve Hart, David Shrum, Debbie Kuller, David West, Cameron Cothren, Dean Takko, Mallory Bosch, Brad Towery, Sunny Manary and grandson, Bryce Good. Happy days, everybody!

Happy Anniversary wishes go out to Greg and Cindy Lloyd, Paul and Mary Ann Ehrensberger, Carol Carver and George Exum and Mr. and Mrs. Dana McClain. We hope you have terrific anniversary celebrations!

GOLF--Don't forget to sign up for the Kiwanis Golf Tournament taking place this Saturday with tee off time at 9 a.m.


EXHIBIT--The Friends of Skamokawa is starting out the summer season with an exhibit of paintings by Mitzi Christensen, Alan Brunk, Nancy Knowles and Ramona Lauzon, who are members of the Lower Colubian Artists' Association and are well known around this area. The exhibit will run from this Saturday, July 7 until August 12. A reception for the artists will be held this Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information call the hall at 795-3007 between noon and 4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday.

MARK CALENDARS--The Vista Vendor's Market is taking place on July 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We hope to see you there. More info? Call me!

LATE--I trust all of you had a wonderful Fourth of July holiday and I'd love to hear about some of your wonderful gatherings that occurred with your family and friends.
