The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

The Washington State Auditor’s Office released its report for the Skamokawa Water and Sewer District on June 10. The report, which had no findings, contained the results of an audit which examined the district’s financial records for the period from January 2010 through December 2011.

The report states “in the areas we examined, the District’ internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets. The District also complied with state laws and its own policies in the areas we examined.

However, we noted certain matters that we communicated to the District. We appreciate the District’s commitment to resolving those matters.”
