What's happening at the Fair?

August 1, 2013

WOW! Only two weeks until Fair. Where has the time gone? We still need a couple of Superintendents for the T-Building. We also need gate workers. If you have a few hours and would like to volunteer please call the office, 795-3480. Thanks to all the volunteers who came out Saturday to help with the clean up day. Also thank-you to Deb and Shawn and their 4-H club for their work time today.

This year the fair is having a karaoke contest Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Watch the paper for more details. Also the fair schedule and all entertainment will be out soon. Kids games will be back on Friday of Fair. Don’t forget to purchase your Fair Passes and raffle tickets from the Fair Royalty. The Grand Prize for the raffle is an Apple iPad. The Fair Queen will be crowned at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. This year the young lady who turns in the most money from selling Fair passes, raffle tickets and doing personal fundraisers will be crowned Queen.

On Saturday there will be an “Open Horse Trail Challenge.” Sign-ups will start at 7:30 a.m.; the competition will start at 8 a.m. Don’t forget the Salmon BBQ on Saturday, the Horseshoe Competition and the Cribbage Tournament.

Don’t forget to be getting all your entries ready for the fair. Premium points will be to everyone this year. Call the office if you would still like to enter animals. We still have some room in some areas.
