Cross Country

The Wahkiakum Mule cross country team traveled to Ilwaco last Thursday to compete in the Joe William’s Black Lake Invite, a three mile race for high school runners.

Elliott Haney took the best time for the boys with a 21:46.4. He came in 30th place. Luke Stacey took 37th with a time of 22:12.5 and Nevan Bingham placed 45th with a time of 22:49.4.

More than a dozen runners came in during the 22nd minute while the race winner finished in 16:57.1.

Mya Kirzy got the best time for the girl’s team. She took 15th place overall with a time of 25:38.46. Samantha Boyce took 28th place with a 27:59.8 time. She was quickly followed by Aly Kirzy and Jessica Thomas who took 29th and 30th place respectively. Kirzy finished in 28:16.7 and Thomas came in at 28:19.5. Kyrah Scuito took 45th place with a time of 36.11.7.

The winning runner in the girl’s race finished in 21:44.6.

The Mule cross country team traveled to Ridgefield yesterday to compete in the Trico 1A hosted by LaCenter. They will travel to the Bill Kehoe Invitational at St. Martin University in Lacey next Tuesday.
