Shannon L. (Spitfire) Spitzer’s life ended February 23, 2016 at the age of 61. He was born in Albany, Georgia, the son of Mary Dominique and the late Donald Spitzer.

Survivors include his mother; brother Jim (Dru) Spitzer; sister Signe (Craig) Sause (Shannon called her Sparkles); two nieces, Molly (Nick) Hummel, Morgan (Vincent) Castillo; nephew Joe Spitzer; two great nieces Lucca and Bella Hummel; great nephew Bennett Castillo; extended family Brandon, Micaela, Kyler, Klarah Sause and Shane, Amanda and Noah Patterson.

Shannon loved growing up on the Island, the river and being a chef. Most of his chef years were in Alaska, later years in New Orleans. He remained close to friends and his childhood home was still home to him after 57 years. Our memories are many, he will be missed.
