Lady Mules compete in state track meet

The 2016 Wahkiakum Mule Track and Field season ended this weekend in Cheney, and 14 seemed to be the magical number.
Macie Elliott took 14th place in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:59.62. Charlie Ashe placed 14th in the high jump, clearing 4-06. Mckensi Fluckiger cleared 14-11.5 in the long jump, taking 15th place.
Grace Peacock and Ellie Leitz were knocked out in the prelims of the 100 meters and the 800 meters respectively. Both took 14th place, Peacock with a time of 13.93 and Leitz with a time of 2:34.20.
The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Cheyenne Barton, Rory Heywood, M. Elliott, and Peacock took 10th place in the prelims with a time of 53.01. They did not qualify for the finals.
The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Barton, Tyra Elliott, Heywood, and M. Elliott were disqualified in the prelims.
