The beginning of the 2016-17 school year will be Monday, August 29. This year’s high school registration schedule is set for August 10-11 in the NHS Commons. At least one parent or guardian must accompany their student(s) to registration. Student schedules and high school and beyond plans must be signed and approved by a parent or guardian. Multiple students from the same family may register during the same session.

On Wednesday, August 10, and Thursday, August 11, they will conduct four evening registration sessions. At the beginning of each session, about 15-20 minutes of grade-specific information related to graduation requirements, college and career planning, and state testing will be shared. After the initial information, students will submit their schedules, high school and beyond plans and other paper work.

Mr. Macy will also hold athletic registration(s) from 6-8 p.m. on these same nights. Students can go directly from academic registration to athletic registration. This year’s high school registration schedule is as follows: 12th graders: August 10, 6 p.m.; 11th graders: August 10, 7 p.m.; 10th graders: August 11, 6 p.m.; 9th graders: August 11, 7 p.m.

If a student or parent/guardian cannot make the designated registration session, there are multiple options:

1) A parent can attend the evening session and register in place of the student, 2) The student and parent can attend one of the other sessions—understanding that some information will be grade specific, or 3) Contact Mr. Laine to make alternate arrangements (360-480-9634, 360-484-7121, ext. 301, or jlaine@naselleschools.org).

Running Start students should attend a registration session if possible. Running Start students are subject to the same credit and non-credit requirements as other students and must update their HS and beyond plan and other paper work for the office.
