Peden Marine Corps League Daniel E. Crockett Detachment 1228 will host a celebration in honor of the Marine Corps' 241st birthday on November 12 at Uptown Café, in Warrenton. All Marines, family and friends of the Corps are welcome. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m., with a no-host bar, followed by the Marine and Associate of the Year, as well as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Awards, with dinner to commence at 7:30 p.m. Dress is semi-formal, and they will collect toys for their annual Toys-for-Tots drive.
