Local marchers

Over 3 million women, men and children took to the streets Saturday for the national Women's March in support of women's rights and values. They were only expecting 50 people at the Astoria Women's March, but actual numbers were estimated to be closer to 1,200. It was a peaceful, friendly event and marchers were encouraged by the cheerful honks of supporters driving by.

Rob and Diane Stockhouse had planned to march in Astoria, but a client called to rent their cabin rental, so they marched up and down Main Street in Cathlamet.
