Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past two weeks, including:

February 6--4 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance, law officers and District 4 fire department responded to a vehicle that had rolled over along SR 4 east of Cathlamet; no one was injured.

February 7--12:20 a.m. A caller reported someone was revving an engine near a house west of Cathlamet. 10:46 a.m. A Rosedale resident reported a child was posting weird things on Facebook; an officer investigated. 4:28 p.m. A caller reported a man was driving without a license. 5:19 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported hunters were trespassing; an officer consulted with the caller.

February 8--4:39 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance and Grays River ambulance responded to aid a Grays River resident with breathing trouble. 10:16 a.m. A caller reported a vehicle theft; a deputy investigated. 5:19 p.m. An Altoona/Pillar Rock resident reported a power outage. 10:33 p.m. A Clatsop County caller reported information about a burglary at a Westend residence.

February 9--12:05 a.m. Another Altoona/Pillar Rock resident reported a power outage. 6:53 a.m. Eden Valley Road was closed because of high water; throughout the morning, Covered Bridge, Loop, North and South Satterlund, East and West Deep River and Altoona/Pillar Rock roads were closed, and SR 4 was reduced to one lane at Seal River. 7:56 a.m. A caller reported deep water and ebris running down the hillside and over SR 4 at Milepost 38 east of Cathlamet. 11:25 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Puget Island man who was feeling light headed. 12:26 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported a man was acting suspiciously; an officer investigated and took the person into custody. 12:33 p.m. A caller reported finding a dead collared deer in the Elochoman Valley; a wildlife agency was notified. 1:56 p.m. A caller reported seeing an aluminum skiff drifting in the Columbia above Cathlamet. 2:38 p.m. A caller reported losing two black labs while jogging outside Cathlamet. 3:17 p.m. A caller reported a man with an out-of-county warrant was in Wahkiakum County. 6:06 p.m. A Little Island resident reported a power outage. 7:29 p.m. a caller reported a person had take a bicycle without permission. 9:09 p.m. A tugboat reported seeing a light shining by a life raft on Hunting Island; the Coast Guard responded.

February 10--3:55 a.m. Eden Valley and Barr roads were closed because of high water; they were open by 10:27 a.m.

February 11--1:40 p.m. A towing company reported they would be repossessing a vehicle. 2:57 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported loose cattle were in his yard; a neighbor chased them away. 8:13 p.m. A caller reported someone was shooting off fireworks in Cathlamet.

February 12--9:28 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a man with dementia was trying to hitchhike to Longview; he was located there. 10:05 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to an Altoona/Pillar Rock Road residence to aid a person with abdominal pain. 10:33 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an Oak Point Road residence to take a person to a hospital. 11:16 a.m. A jailer reported an inmate walked away from a work crew in Cathlamet; he was later reported to be at a Longview residence. 12:10 p.m. A caller reported an abandoned vehicle on Crossdike Road. 4:59 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to Ostervold Road to aid a resident there. 12:29 p.m. A caller reported a youth was reluctant to return home from open gym because of an argument; a family member made contact, and a report to Children's Protective Services was filed.

February 13--8:27 a.m. A caller reported a car had run off Elochoman Valley Road; law enforcement, the Cathlamet ambulance and District 4 responded.
