Traffic safety patrol will be out this holiday weekend

The Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office will participate in a statewide traffic safety emphasis patrol this upcoming holiday courtesy of Target Zero grant funding, beginning Friday, May 26 and ending Monday, May 29.

The purpose is a high visibility emphasis to make drivers aware they are out during the busy holiday season, and to focus on seatbelt and speeding violations as well as driving under the influence.

The Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office encourages people to drive responsibly this holiday weekend and to focus on safe driving habits throughout the summer months.
